Rooftop Quarry Jump. Sadly, i have no pics of my time there. I was road tripping cross. Everybody wanted to say they had been there and i was fortunate enough have spent many days in the sun, simian and jumping off the cliffs, with my friends. Sounds like at least 3 people have died jumping it. The abandoned quarry is awesome. Rooftop from the movie breaking away in bloomington, indiana. Especially when swimmers jump off an area known to locals as “rooftop.” in the film, quaid’s character suffers an injury to his face after swimming into a stone. At least 3 people have died jumping off this in the past 2 decades. Web links says its only 65' tall, but i'm thinking its bigger. Jumping into the quarry from the top peak of rooftop, roughly 65 feet above the water's surface, is an extremely high dive.
